New Music Friday (Country Edition): Keith Urban Announces New Album ‘High’ Alongside New Single ‘WILDSIDE’

Another week down means more music out from our favorite country artists.

Today (June 28), Keith Urban revealed that his brand new album, High, is coming out on September 20th, and fans will be able to get another taste of what’s to come from the upcoming record with the release of his new song “Wildside.” It features new singles “Straight Line,” “Messed Up As Me,” as well as his latest duet with country powerhouse Lainey Wilson “Go Home W U.”

He shares on Instagram, “This album is a result of a prior record I started in 2022. It’s 40 minutes top to bottom, and is completely expressive, true, honest and is so much more of what I actually wanted to say when making that scrapped record. I hope these songs bring you joy, levity, some new understanding, energy, and escape!”

High trails off of Urban’s 2020 record, The Speed of Now Part 1, and is said to reference themes of “what it is to be alive, human connection, cutting loose and some personal life revelations.”

The singer goes on to add in a press release, “I’ve always been drawn toward the subject of living in the moment, because it’s all there is, and it’s hard to do. And these days with so much ‘content’ flying at us, it can feel like drinking from a fire hose.”

So many more goodies emerged this week, including collaborations between Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan, Chase Bryant and Randy Houser; along with more releases from country’s most recognizable names as well as Nashville’s newest, including Miranda Lambert, Bailey Zimmerman, Old Dominion, Jackson Dean, Midland, Adam Doleac, 49 Winchester, Austin Snell, Mason Ramsey, Niko Moon, Peytan Porter, Mackenzie Carpenter, Dalton Dover, Ian Munsick, Joe Nichols, The Castellows, Fancy Hagood, Willow Hill, Michael James, Daniel Jeffers, Timmy McKeever, Dylan Jakobsen, The Reklaws, Lori Rayne, Hannah Anders, Jenna Devries, Sam Williams and Jordana Bryant.
