It’s another huge day (October 25) in country music and our New Music Friday playlist is loaded.
Kelsea Ballerini is wearing her heart on her sleeve. Coming off the heels of the wildly successful body of work, Rolling Up The Welcome Mat, the genre-bending songbird is unveiling an exclusive look into her new present-day era of self-vulnerability and growth with new record, Patterns.
Produced with Alysa Vanderheym, Patterns is of a different vein than Ballerini’s earlier works, embodying a similar musical landscape to RUTWM and unapologetically open about her relationship with Outer Banks star Chase Stokes, sex, and religion. It doesn’t get more honest than that.
Brett Young recalls to a missed flame in his newest single, “Kiss To Forget.” The singer wrote the song alongside acclaimed writers Ashley Gorley, Jon Nite and Jimmy Robbins, and adds to Young’s continuous catalogue of country music ballads.
Young shares the meaning of the song, “‘Kiss To Forget’ is a song written to the one who got away. Telling her that anybody else he tries to be with, no matter how perfect, just won’t work. He lost the only person for him and the best he can do moving forward is to hope to find some kind of distraction from the one he really wants.”
Jordan Davis is also nostalgic in his brand new single, “Know You Like That” which follows his current top 30 single, “I Ain’t Sayin,;” both come in anticipation of his forthcoming album.

A few of our favorite ladies released full-length projects that we have on our playlist, Anne Wilson’s REBEL (Live From Lexington), Lindsay Ell’s Love Myself, Lanie Gardner’s A Songwriter’s Diary, and Chapel Hart’s Hartfelt Family Christmas.
‘REBEL (Live From Lexington)’ is out now!! These songs were recorded during my REBEL album release show in my hometown of Lexington, KY at the Lexington Opera House. It was a dream come true to perform these songs on the same stage I grew up doing ballet on. God has been so… pic.twitter.com/hF42kReoMQ
