You guys should know the drill by now. Since you love our New Music Friday roundups, here is our New Music Friday: K-Edition!
As always, we’ll be sharing with you our favorite Korean music releases of the week ranging from K-Pop, K-R&B, K-Rap, and lots more. Rest assured, all of these will be bops because we don’t do skips around here.
It’s been almost one year since NU’EST released their EP, The Nocturne, and over seven years since the group’s last full-length Korean album, Re:BIRTH, so LOVEs are ecstatic about the group’s newest release, Romanticize.
Romanticize is a ten-track album, with the first half made up of group-centered tracks and the last half allows for JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun, and Ren to each show off their own individual sounds and talents. The group’s second album is lead by the title track, “Inside Out,” an upbeat and dance-pop song that explores the different stages of a break-up, which envelops the concept of the entire album perfectly.
“It’s all about facing heartache and pretending to be nonchalant, before these emotions are eventually revealed,” group member Baekho shared about “Inside Out,” which he co-wrote with JR.
Overall, Romanticize helps paint a different image of what love is, especially in the solo tracks done by each of the members. They each express their own idea of the term and have a song for everyone to relate to.
This week also found a ton of releases from some of our favorite groups and soloists; including Day6, APINK, SORAN, P1Harmony; with new releases from IZ, SEVENTEEN, Peakboy, TWICE; and a mini-album release from boy group ORBIT.
