New Music Friday: Taylor Swift Releases “Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition),” Featuring an Unexpected Collaboration With Rapper Ice Spice

A collaboration with Ice Spice, a revamped collaboration with Lana Del Rey AND a brand new song? Taylor Swift is truly a mastermind.

The global sensation dropped Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition) as a part of this week’s New Music Friday, featuring three songs that we are immediately adding to our musical rotation — “Karma (feat. Ice Spice),” “Snow On The Beach (feat. More Lana Del Rey)” and “Hits Different.”

The Til Dawn Edition serves as Midnightssecond extension, coming after the release of Midnights (3am Version) this past October. The first extension featured the hit songs “The Great War,” “Bigger Than The Whole Sky,” “Paris,” “High Infidelity,” “Glitch,” “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve” and “Dear Reader.”

Just a few days prior to the big release, Taylor Swift took to Instagram to share the thrilling news with her 260 million followers.

In an long-winded Instagram caption, Swift wrote, “Um. SO much to tell you. I’m a massive fan of this brilliant artist and after getting to know her I can confirm: she is THE ONE to watch. So delighted to say that ‘Karma‘ featuring the incredible @icespice will be out TOMORROW night at MIDNIGHT ET as a part of the new Midnights (Til Dawn Edition) deluxe album that you can pre-order now at store.taylorswift.com!”

Lucky for Swifties everywhere, the caption had even more surprises in store!

“In addition to ‘Karma (feat. Ice Spice)’… You asked for it, we listened: Lana and I went back into the studio specifically to record more Lana on ‘Snow On The Beach.’ Love u @honeymoon 🥰😆☺️,” she wrote.

After facing backlash that Lana Del Rey’s brilliant vocals were not utilized enough within the original version of “Snow On The Beach,” hearing this news made fans everywhere smile from ear to ear.

Within the carousel post that accompanied this exciting caption, the GRAMMY Award-winning songstress shared the cover art for Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition), revealing that a track titled “Hits Different” would be also featured on this extension — Could this release seriously get any better?

The former One Direction member released Faith In The Future (Bonus Edition) just hours before beginning his Faith In The Future World Tour in Uncasville, Connecticut, dropping the tracks “Change,” “High In California” and “Face The Music – Acoustic Demo” on all music streaming platforms.

Will fans get to hear these brand new tunes live tonight? Only time will tell…
