Nick Jonas has officially revealed the story behind his new single “Jealous” that’s hitting iTunes next week.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Nick spilled this:
“I was out with my girlfriend the night before I wrote this song…and I got heated. I was doing all this fighting training for this show I just finished up [DirecTV’s Kingdom], so I was ready to go. [But] I contained myself…and I came in the next day to the studio and wrote this song. I think it is true…a lot of people can relate with this, a lot of men, they don’t talk about it, it makes them uncomfortable. But I think vulnerability is good and it’s what makes us human.”
Surprisingly, girlfriend Olivia Culpo seems to dig the track! He also shared his thoughts on being noticed in public with Olivia.
“I enjoy it to a certain degree. It’s just when it’s constant when you’re trying to enjoy the evening that it can be a little bit too much.”
“Jealous” hits iTunes this Monday, September 8th.
