The Masked Singer crowned “Piglet” as the winner of season 5 on Wednesday (May 26) and you may be thinking to yourself, “who is the man behind the mask?” The answer is Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees.
“What this show has done for me is once again remind me of how much I love music and how much we all need music right now,” says Lachey in a statement. He added that he joined the show to put smiles on his kids’ faces.
Nick Lachey took to his Instagram to celebrate the epic win saying, “This little piggy brought it all the way home!!” In fact, three out of five of the judges guessed the 90s boyband heartthrob correctly!

Masks were off for JoJo when she was revealed as the “Black Swan.” The singer scored second place with her emotional performance of “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” by Michael Bolton. However, only Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger were able to guess correctly. After the reveal, JoJo captioned her picture on Instagram “Peek-a-boo, it’s mee, Black Swan.”
She continued to share the reason behind why she pursued the show to her fans. “Somewhere over the last few years I developed stage fright that has impacted me mentally & physically & sometimes makes it feel like I’m choking. I knew I had to do something about this feeling, & I wanted to stop taking myself so seriously. I figured donning a 15 lb bedazzled swan costume + headpiece while anonymously singing my heart out might be a good way to do that.”
Last but not least, third place went to “Chameleon,” who was revealed as Wiz Khalifa. Judges – Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger guessed correctly, while the three other judges thought the Chameleon was either 2 Chainz or Gucci Mane.
The rapper also did the show for his son, Bash. “I’m a fun dad, I love to enjoy myself, I love to be myself,” continuing that he wants to be the best example of having a good time.
The Golden Ear trophy went to Jenny McCarthy…for the second season in a row! The Judge was able to correctly identify Bobby Brown as “Crab” and Caitlyn Jenner as “Phoenix” at the beginning of the season!
