The Last Kids on Earth shows exactly that, as the animated show follows 13-year-old Jack Sullivan and his band of middle schoolers who live in a decked-out tree house, play video games, and battle zombies in the aftermath of the monster apocalypse.
The Netflix series is based off the collection of books by Max Brallier and features and all-star cast. Nick Wolfhard, the brother of Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard, plays Jack; Keith David plays a monster named Thrull; Garland Whitt plays Quint, Jack’s best friend, Montse Hernandez, plays June, Jack’s crush; and Charles Demers, plays Dirk, the school bully. Other talented cast members include Mark Hamill, Bruce Campbell, Rosario Dawson, and Catherine O’Hara,
