It’s almost time for Nolan Gross to release his debut album The Path To Forever, and the young singer is giving Celeb Secrets the first look with the premiere of his single “12 In The Neck.”
Taking inspiration from Billie Eilish, who recently opened up about her experience with Tourettes, the 17-year-old’s new single is about his struggle with Tourette Syndrome and dealing with facial tics and neck pulls for years.
“I have been dealing with facial tics and neck pulls for years, and finally I decided to try Botox. The Botox wasn’t to keep me looking younger but because it’s known to help with facial tics,” Gross tells Celeb Secrets. “The first time I got Botox, they put so much in my neck that I almost passed out. I broke free of a lot of things while making this song. It showed me that music was right in front of me the whole time and that I wanted to dedicate everything I have to creating music. This song is my way of showing and expressing how I feel about having Tourettes and accepting that Tourettes is a part of me.”
The music video, which you can watch below, gives a look into how Nolan felt getting Botox and how having Tourettes has affected him.
“For the music video, it took Neal Jolly and I only 8 hours to shoot and edit the whole video before we both signed off on it and said that we were finished,” he says. “Another secret about the place we filmed the video at, the space was based off of Batman’s garage in ‘The Dark Knight.’”
The song is featured on his upcoming debut album The Path To Forever, which will be released on Gross’ 18th birthday, February 28th.
“I am so excited for the world to hear this project,” he says. “I have been working on it for the past few months and I’m so pumped for it to be out. I have a few more music videos that will be releasing after the album comes out so stay tuned for those too!”
