Odell Beckham Jr. is a Super Bowl champion, and now, he is a father.
The all-star wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams welcomed into the world his newborn son, Zydn, who was born last Thursday, February 17, 2022. He and his partner Lauren Wood announced the news via an Instagram post yesterday, February 22.
“THE biggest blessing I’ve ever had in my life arrived here on earth!” Beckham wrote in the post, which has gone on to receive more than 1.4 million likes in 24 hours. “The words, I can’t even put together for the overwhelming emotions that ran thru me … a moment I will never forget and cherish forever. Zydn was born [and] at that moment, I knew my life changed for the better. Lauren Wood, u [sic] changed my life forever and delivered the most beautiful gift of all… EFFORTLESSLY!”

The news comes shortly after OBJ announced that his surgery to repair a torn ACL he suffered in during Super Bowl LVI was successful. Lauren Wood announced back in November that she was, indeed, pregnant with the child, but with the due date expected around the time of the Super Bowl, there were doubts that Beckham would even be able to play in the big game. But alas, he was able to, playing a huge role in the Rams’ victory, and his son was born just a few days after.
“Man man man,” Beckham also wrote in the post. “Where do I even begin? This is as real as it gets. This last week has been one that I truly could never forget…And so the journey continues; 2-22-22; the stars are all aligned; surgery was a success. Like I’ve said all along “IT WAS WRITTEN.” Im [sic] just sticking to the script and seeing where God will take me.”
