Olivia Holt signed a recording contract with Hollywood Records, it was announced today by Disney Music Group Senior Vice President, A&R, Mio Vukovic. Olivia will be releasing her debut album in 2015.
Holt is currently starring in the Disney Channel sitcom, I Didn’t Do It. She is also well-known for her starring role in the Disney XD comedy series, Kickin’ It, and the Disney Channel Original Movie Girl vs. Monster.
Said Holt, “I’m so thrilled to be a part of the Hollywood Records family. I’m so grateful for this opportunity, and to have a great partner who has had so much success with other artists I look up to is very exciting for me. My hope is that my first record will reflect me and my personal sound, which is a mix of pop and soul. I love real elements in music that produce a natural sound, and I want to incorporate as much of that as possible in my album. This is all so surreal for me and I’m so looking forward to whatever the future has in store for me, and to bring my music to my fans.”
Holt’s talents move beyond her already successful acting career. She has a passion for music, and plays guitar and piano. Olivia has already appeared on several soundtracks, lending her voice to the “Girl vs. Monster” soundtrack, the Disney Holiday Playlist, the “Shake It Up I <3 Dance” soundtrack, and the DisneyNature “Bears” soundtrack.
