Peech. Drops Debut EP Small Town America and It’s the Heartfelt Soundtrack You Didn’t Know You Needed (Listen)

If his raw “Going West” live performance premiere felt like a promise, Peech.’s debut EP Small Town America is the payoff — six tracks that tug at your heartstrings, spark nostalgia, and prove he’s one of the most exciting new voices in country-folk.

Out everywhere now via CCMG/TAMLA, the project captures everything Peech. does best: storytelling that feels lived-in, vocals that cut straight to the soul, and an authenticity that makes you want to roll down the windows and hit the open road.

“It feels surreal, honestly,” Peech tells Celeb Secrets. “Premiering ‘Going West’ live was such a huge moment for me, and now, to be releasing my debut EP so soon after, it feels like everything’s moving fast but in the best possible way. It’s a snapshot of where I come from, what I’ve seen, and where I’m headed.”

Peech’s EP feels like the natural next chapter after his fan-favorite single “Going West.” But while that song was about leaving — about the pull of something bigger and the ache of moving on — this project digs even deeper.

“’Small Town America’ really builds on the foundation ‘Going West’ laid,” Peech explains. “It’s about everything that comes with that decision: the memories you carry, the people you miss, the identity you’re still figuring out. It dives into the beauty, the heartbreak, the limitations, and the love of growing up in a small town.”

The six-song collection, produced by Adam Banx and Leslie Johnson, blends acoustic textures with polished, modern edges. It’s equal parts country grit, folk intimacy, and soulful emotion. “Got It All Wrong” and Tomorrow’s wrestle with change while “Wild One” leans into freedom and longing. “Be Together” — the most personal song for Peech. — lays his heart bare and “Going West” makes a reappearance, grounding the EP in its restless core. His breakout single “Don’t Miss Your Moment” closes things out with urgency and hope.

“That one still hits hard every time I sing it,” he says of “Be Together.” “It came from a lot of pain and wonder, and I didn’t hold anything back. Performing it brings all of that rushing back, like I’m right there again.”

Peech has already been described as living stylistically between Jelly Roll and Zac Brown, but he’s quick to point out that his inspirations run wide.

“There’s a mix of grit and heart in both of them that I connect with,” he admits. “But I also think of artists like Post Malone, Zach Bryan, or even Red Clay Strays — people who blur the lines between country and something more personal. That’s where I feel at home: honest, emotional, and a little rough around the edges.”

To mark the release, Peech will make his Whiskey Jam debut on August 28th — a huge rite of passage for any artist breaking into the Nashville scene.

“I’m extremely excited,” he says with a grin. “Whiskey Jam is such a big milestone. I just want to do the songs and the moment justice, and really connect with people who get what I’m putting out there.”

This release is only “Volume 1” — meaning Peech is already hinting at more to come.

“It’s just the beginning of a bigger story,” he teases. “Future releases will dig even deeper into the highs and lows of leaving home, finding yourself, and everything in between. There’s a lot more to come, and I can’t wait to bring listeners along for every step.”

And here’s a little secret for Celeb Secrets readers: one of the songs on the project almost didn’t make the cut. “Adam pushed me to keep it, and now it’s become a favorite,” Peech laughs. “Sometimes the moments you doubt the most end up meaning the most.”
