The Flash Season 2, Episode 18 ended with viewers wanting more and definitely did not disappoint. Barry was left without his superpowers while Hunter Zolomon kidnapped Caitlin and whisked her back to Earth-2. The Flash exchanged his speed in exchange for Wally’s freedom. It does still leave viewers wondering whether Jay Garrick, a.k.a. Hunter Zolomon, is really Zoom.
In tonights episode (April 26th), “Back to Normal”, “A meta-human with super strength named Griffin Grey mistakes Harry (Tom Cavanagh) for Earth-1 Harrison Wells and kidnaps him, demanding that Wells cure him from his current condition,” The CW teased on Thursday. Also Barry turns to Jessie Quick, the daughter of Earth-2 Harrison Wells, for help.
To get all the scoop on tonights episode of The Flash airing on CW, Celeb Secrets chatted with Violett Beane aka Jesse Quick. She dished about her character and the future of the show as well as her directing debut.

Celeb Secrets: This weeks episode answered so many questions for viewers. They were finally able to put things together. Viewers finally found out who Zoom really is. Can you give us some details on this discovery?
Violett Beane:Â “You know, it was interesting, I didn’t know who Zoom was when I was filming with him because he was a stunt guy. So, it was just as a big as a surprise to me as it was to you guys. I think it’s going to work now that you finally found out and now they got to put all the pieces together and try and defeat him. That’s basically the whole premise – how do we get Zoom to stop hurting people and kidnapping people. He’s already kidnapped three of us, three of the team so we need to stop this guy.”
Celeb Secrets: You play Jesse Wells aka Jesse Quick, the daughter of Earth-2 Harrison Wells. Can you tell us a little about your character?
Violett Beane:Â “Jesse has definitely developed a little bit. You saw in two episodes ago she ran away when she found out her father has killed someone. I think she ran away to get closer and figure out what that means, what’s happening. I’m so excited her story line has been picking up.”
Celeb Secrets: It looks like Barry will be turning to your character Jesse for help tracking down her father. What can we expect on tonights episode?
Violett Beane: “Well, Barry comes to Jesse for some help in rescuing her dad and of course that is the one thing that is going to bring her back. It’s like riding off on her own thing – her dads danger – and the only thing that can really help would be me (Jesse). So you’re going to see Jesse come back and help her dad sort of in a verse way he helped find her, which is very sweet. Jesse in general is extremely smart so she is able to help the team that way.”
Celeb Secrets: Congrats, The Flash has been renewed for a 3rd Season. Can you give us any details on the upcoming season and your character or are you kept in the dark like all of us?
Violett Beane: “It is pretty much so up in the air.. it’s all negotiations but Jesse’s story isn’t wrapped up so there is definitely a possibility of her returning. I definitely would love to come back, it’s such an amazing show. You can definitely expect a lot more from this season. There shouldn’t be any more running away.”
Celeb Secrets: How is it like filming all the action shots? Do you do the stunts yourself or is there a stunt double?
Voilett Beane:Â Â “I (Jesse) did get to do one stunt with one stunt double. I personally didn’t get to do it unfortunately. When I first saw there were pads on the ground, I was like ‘Oh I can do that’ it was like from a bouncy castle or something and then they moved the pads out and I was like ‘Oh they are falling straight on the ground never mind’. Doing your own stunts is something actors like to do and if it’s pretty safe I’m down to do it. Recently there have been so many accidents that I don’t know if it is necessarily worth it… like with the situation with Dylan O’Brien (Maze Runner). He’s so close to everyone in this community and their production office is right next to ours. All because he wanted to do them himself which is respectable to the actors on what they want to do. I didn’t get to do this one unfortunately but it would be fun. Some of the ones where there is a lot less danger involved I definitely want to be a part of.”
Celeb Secrets: If you could have any superhero power what would it be and why?
Violett Beane:Â “Here’s the thing… I would never say super speed before I was on the show. It kind of gives you everything… you can kind of sort of fly for a little bit of a distance, you can be invisibile kind of because you are moving so fast… you can technically stop time because you’re moving so fast. It kind of has everything. I think mind reading would be pretty cool but the only if you could turn it off because I dont want to hear everything everyone is saying all the time.”
Celeb Secrets:Â To date, what was your favorite project you have worked on?
Violett Beane: “I would have to say The Flash is one of them because it’s one of the biggest things I’ve worked on. I actually have a music video coming out and that will be me directing debut. I directed, edited and stared in it so it’s pretty close to home. It’s for the band Eye Lid Kd and I play this deranged who has live in an abandon house with these two dolls her whole life. I did a lot for it so it feels like a huge project for me and I want it to do very well. It’s coming out in about a week and a half.”
Celeb Secrets: You also stared in season two of the HBO series, ‘The Leftovers’. Can you tell us about your experience on that show?
Violett Beane: “That was definitely the biggest set I’ve worked on and I really didn’t know what to expect. It was an amazing experience and it was in my hometown so it was nice being with family and stuff. The girl who my character played best friends with actually became my best friend in real life. Every time I come to LA I stay with her… I’m actually at her house right now. It’s awesome how you get to make connections on a set and they stay with you forever regardless you can always rely on the people you meet.”
Celeb Secrets: Since we are Celeb Secrets… tell us something most people don’t know about you.
Violett Beane:Â “Um… I can lick my elbow! It’s one of those things where people are like, ‘Oh can you lick your elbow?’ to make you look ridiculous but I actually can so it’s pretty cool.”
