Peloton Superstar Ally Love Talks Bringing Joy, Movement and Motivation to Cleaning with National Shine Brite Day (Exclusive)

Cleaning your space, cleaning your mind, cleaning your energy? Ally Love is here to remind us that yes — you can do it all.

The Peloton superstar, motivational speaker, and multi-hyphenate queen of joy is partnering with Scotch-Brite™ to launch National Shine Brite Day, an empowering new holiday encouraging everyone to reframe how they view cleaning—turning it into a celebration of movement, self-expression, and feel-good energy. And of course, Celeb Secrets got the exclusive.

“Cleaning is part of my daily routine—not just to reset my space; it’s an act of mindfulness, movement, and joy,” Ally said in a statement. “It’s a visual affirmation that small acts have a big impact.”

That’s the heart of National Shine Brite Day, which debuts today, June 26 — marking the anniversary of Scotch-Brite’s first appearance on store shelves back in 1958. Now, nearly 70 years later, the brand (famous for its #1-selling scrub sponge) is launching a new campaign — “The Brite Side of Clean” — encouraging people to see cleaning as not just a task, but a tool for transformation.

And Ally Love? She’s the perfect partner to lead that charge.

Known for her electric presence on the bike and on screen, Ally is also all about finding joy in the little things — something she says cleaning easily fits into.

“I believe small changes lead to huge impact,” she shared with Celeb Secrets exclusively in our one-on-one interview. “Whether it’s a five-minute reset or organizing your bookshelf, it’s all about shifting your perspective and finding joy in the process.”

That mindset is exactly what National Shine Brite Day is about: reclaiming cleaning as a ritual that resets more than just your countertops. Whether you blast music and wipe down your kitchen, declutter your wardrobe, or deep clean your bathroom while dancing in socks, it’s about doing something small that makes you feel grounded, clear, and accomplished.

Of course, if you know Ally Love, you know she’s going to bring movement and music into the mix.

“I clean to music. I clean to podcasts. I clean to audiobooks!” she laughed. “If I’m not teaching early in the morning, I’ll put on Whitney Houston or Hamilton and start my day by cleaning the kitchen. It gets me in the zone. After that, I’m more productive. My energy follows that rhythm.”

For Ally, movement is never about perfection—it’s about rhythm, release, and resetting your vibe. And while most of us just scroll through dance cleaning TikToks, Ally’s encouraging us to actually join in.

“There was this whole wellness movement where people would start their day dancing in their room, and I totally get that,” she said. “But for me, I dance through cleaning! Even if it’s a tiny space, like the bathroom or my nightstand. That little moment becomes motivation.”

We aren’t lying when we say Ally literally carries a Scotch-Brite sponge in her purse.

“I was out to lunch in New York and pulled a sponge out of my bag to wipe down the outdoor table,” she laughed. “My friend was like, ‘You had that in your bag?!’ And I was like, yes. It makes me feel more comfortable and safe.”

The classic Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Sponge is her go-to tool, but don’t worry, her husband has her on sponge-usage guardrails.

“My husband’s obsessed with Scotch-Brite,” she joked. “He’s like, ‘This is the heavy-duty one. Don’t use that on the nonstick pans!’ I know he’s right—but sometimes I don’t want to admit it.”

From satisfying before-and-after reveals to dancing-in-the-mirror cleaning montages, #NationalShineBriteDay is all about inviting people to share how they “shine brite”—whatever that looks like.

“I hope people just work their quirk,” Ally told us. “Be silly, dance, wear your cute cleaning outfit. Share the funny stuff! I don’t always get to be as goofy on TV or in class, so this is your chance to show your real self. Let your cleaning content reflect you.”

Scotch-Brite is calling on fans to post their most joyful, creative, or downright satisfying cleaning content on social media using #NationalShineBriteDay. Think TikToks showing your morning clean-with-me dance; time-lapse transformations of your chaotic closet; your “cleaning playlist must-haves;” and yes, your hot take on which sponge is elite

Whether you’re turning chores into cardio or just vibing out with your vacuum, today is your permission slip to celebrate the glow-up that happens when you clean your space—and your mindset.

And because we’re Celeb Secrets, we had to ask Ally for something fans might not know about her—and she did not disappoint.

“I was on a reality show called Harlem Heights back in the day,” she revealed. “It only lasted one season, and I was super young—I didn’t know what I was getting into. But it gave me a taste of working on camera and helped me realize how I wanted to shape my future.”

Spoiler alert: Ally’s reality now is shining brighter than ever—on bikes, on stages, and now in your kitchen with a sponge in hand.
