In-person movie premieres are slowly making their way back into the entertainment world!
Disney and Pixar held a world premiere event for their new film, Luca, at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday (June 17).
Filmmakers, voice actors, and celebrity guests made their way down the blue carpet before attending the screening. The filmmakers in attendance included Enrico Casarosa (director), Andrea Warren (producer), Pete Docter (executive producer), Kiri Hart (executive producer) and Peter Sohn (executive producer). Voice actors who also joined were Emma Berman, Marco Barricelli, and Giacomo Gianniotti.
Luca follows the story of two boys who become best friends during a summer in Italy. As they explore the town of Portorosso, they have to make sure their secret doesn’t get exposed. The secret being: they’re actually sea monsters who live underwater. In the leading roles, Jacob Tremblay voices as Luca Paguro and Jack Dylan Grazer voices as Alberto Scorfano.
Sponsored by Vespa, the event provided gift bags for guests presented by Verizon. Some of the gifts included Annie’s Mac and Cheese and Birthday Bunny Grahams and McDonald’s Happy Meal toys featuring characters from Luca. Bottles of Niasca Portofino Limonata were also given by Eataly.
