Before summer slips away, Madisyn Shipman is sliding back into the spotlight with a flirty, pop-fueled track that’s about to become your next playlist obsession. Celeb Secrets is exclusively premiering her brand-new single “Tic Tac Toe” (out September 19), and trust us when we say — this one’s about to have you pressing repeat.
Best known for her breakout role as spunky Kenzie Bell on Nickelodeon’s Game Shakers, Shipman has been stepping into her own lane with music that blends catchy hooks, cheeky wordplay, and unapologetic confidence. With past singles like “Baseball Games” (ft. Brooklyn Queen) and “Flying Solo,” Madisyn has already proven she knows how to deliver a bop. But with “Tic Tac Toe,” she’s flipping the script on heartbreak — and reminding everyone that she’s the one calling the shots.
“The guy played a lot of games, but little did he know, I was the real game master,” Madisyn tells Celeb Secrets. “We laughed about that, and what started as a joke quickly turned into the concept for Tic Tac Toe.”

The track, born out of a whirlwind session with her new creative crew, is equal parts playful and empowering. While the beat pulses with pure pop energy, the lyrics pack sly double entendres and clever innuendos that only Madisyn could deliver.
“Lyrically, I love weaving in jokes and double entendres — it’s kind of my signature. Music has always been my therapy, and to keep it raw and real, I need my personality to come through loud and clear,” she shares.
The inspiration? A past relationship that looked perfect on the outside but was anything but behind the scenes. Madisyn doesn’t shy away from sharing that truth — but instead of dwelling in the heartbreak, she’s turned it into a glittering, confident anthem.
“Writing this song gave me back a piece of my power. It reminded me that I know what I want and I’m not afraid to go after it. Each song I write represents a specific chapter of my life, and Tic Tac Toe is definitely one of those songs that turned a painful memory into empowerment,” she says.
That energy was only amplified by the team she’s built in the studio, including collaborators Jeff, Luka, Kyle, Myah Marie, and newcomer Jack, who quickly became her creative partner-in-crime.
“From the moment Jack walked in, the vibe was electric. He’s basically the male version of me and the creative chemistry was instant,” Madisyn gushes. “The whole session felt like a fever dream from dancing, laughing, joking, and creating magic.”
If “Tic Tac Toe” is any indication, Madisyn is only just beginning her next big chapter. With more singles on the way, a memoir she’s co-writing with her mom, and dreams of hitting the road in 2026, the North Carolina native is proving she’s far more than just a former child star — she’s an artist with something to say, and she’s saying it with style.
So, whether you’ve been with her since Game Shakers or you’re just now discovering her music, one thing’s clear: Madisyn Shipman knows how to play the game — and win.
