This ring may just no longer mean a thing.
According to paperwork acquired by TMZ, Kim Zolciak, a former Real Housewives of Atlanta star who was married to former NFL player Kroy Biermann for 11 years, has filed for divorce.
The site reported that the couple’s split date was April 30 with the Bravolebrity claiming in the documents that the marriage is “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”

Kim, who is the mother of Brielle (26),Ariana (21), Kroy Jr. (11), Kash (10) and twins Kane and Kaia (9) with Kroy, is also asking for sole physical custody of the children and joint legal custody.
In addition, per court documents cited by TMZ, the reality star demands spousal support and wants to formally reclaim her maiden name.
The news also follows shortly after being reported that the couple owed $1.1 million in unpaid taxes and six months after Kim and Kroy discussed the crucial elements of their long-term relationship!

“Choosing to love that person day in and day out, I think it’s a choice,” Kim told E! News in November, “and a lot of times people are just so quick to throw in the towel.”
Despite what some viewers might think, Kroy believed they could overcome any obstacle.
“When things get tough, people don’t want to stay true to their vows and stay true to their partner,” he said. “They’d rather just say screw it and try it on the next one, but you got to hold true to your promises that you gave that person when you were standing in front of your friends and family.”

The two met on-camera at a charity event in season three of RHOA in 2010, which marked the beginning of the couple’s love affair with them tying the knot a year later and resulted in their own spinoff, Don’t Be Tardy…, which ran for eight seasons and ended in the year 2020.
