THIS JUST IN: Gronk has officially gone green!
In a new promotional video for the 2022 Kids’ Choice Awards, Miranda Cosgrove shows that she’s determined to train “rookie” Rob Gronkowski for their upcoming big night at the KCAs next month.
In the video, Cosgrove asks Gronkowski, “Do you have the stamina to pull off 1,000 slimings, rock out with the most epic musical performances and take any surprises thrown at you?”
To which Gronkowski replies with a very enthusiastic and determined “Yeah!” followed by Cosgrove proving her point of “being able to take any surprises thrown at you” by sliming her co-host.
KCA slimings will be the main focus of the event as always, dousing celebrity correspondents, landmarks, schools across the U.S. and more, with an on-screen running tally for kids at home.
Earlier this month, Nickelodeon revealed its star-studded nominees, including first-time nominees Olivia Rodrigo, Saweetie, Elizabeth Olsen, Awkwafina, The Kid LAROI, and Doja Cat, among others. Leading the pack with four nods each are Taylor Swift, Adele, Danger Force, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, iCarly, Cobra Kai, and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run. This year’s show will also feature: the network’s signature blimp as it ventures into the metaverse with celebrity avatars; second screen content; live voting where fans stay in control; and the ability to stream the show LIVE across all platforms.
Fans can cast votes on the official Kids’ Choice Awards website, KidsChoiceAwards.com, and through the Screens Up app on supported iPad, iPhone and Android devices in the U.S.
Hosted by Miranda Cosgrove and Rob Gronkowski, the 2022 Kids’ Choice Awards air LIVE from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Saturday, April 9th @ 7:30PM ET/PT on Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons and the Nick Jr. channel.
