Russell Dickerson doesn’t do anything halfway — not his shows, not his studio sessions, and definitely not his celeb-studded collaborations. So when the multi-platinum country star casually dropped into the Jonas Brothers’ world earlier this year, it didn’t just spark a moment… it lit the fuse on one of 2025’s most unexpected and electric cross-genre collaborations.
Standing on the field at the Burger Family Foundation’s Lucky Classic Softball Game in Nashville on November 16, sunflower seeds in hand and competitive fire in his eyes, Russell was every bit the high-energy showman fans adore. “It’s gonna be fiery,” he laughed of the game, already talking trash with the opposing team. But while he was out there raising money for a good cause, he was also celebrating a career high that still feels a little surreal.
Because yes, the Jonas Brothers jumped on “Happen to Me.” And no, Russell still can’t believe it.

“Kevin Jonas actually texts my creative director,” he told Celeb Secrets, shaking his head with a grin. “Their management reached out to my management like three or four days before I came out on stage with them. Kevin was just like, ‘Hey, no, we’re for real… we gotta get Russell here.’”
What started as a spontaneous surprise appearance in Detroit turned into a full-blown studio collab. “We were talking about the song and I was like, ‘Well, what if we did it together?’” Russell explained. “They were headed into the studio the next week — and they just freaking knocked it out of the park.”
The new version of “Happen to Me (feat. Jonas Brothers)” is already dominating country and pop formats, breathing new life into the viral track now climbing multiple Billboard charts. When we asked if he ever imagined a superstar pop trio would hop on the hit, he didn’t skip a beat.
“You hope something crazy’s gonna happen — and it freaking did,” he said. “The JoBros. Wild.”

If 2025 belonged to RUSSELLMANIA, then 2026 is about to rewrite the rules.
Fresh off a sold-out, record-setting tour, Russell just announced his first round of 2026 RUSSELLMANIA dates with a lineup of venues that prove he’s leveling up in real time. Think Red Rocks, The Greek Theatre, and Petco Park… among a massive sweep of amphitheaters across the country.
“We’re hitting Red Rocks next year. We’re hitting the Greek Theatre in L.A.,” Russell said proudly. “New dates… RUSSELLMANIA next year… It’s gonna be the year of our lives.”
And he means it. Not just as a performer, but as a dad and a leader of his own growing team.
When we asked what he’s manifesting for 2026, Russell surprised us with a perspective shift that feels like the secret sauce behind his recent success.
“It’s not even a ticket or a success goal. It’s just to be more present,” he shared. “We’re always hustling and grinding, and I just want to be present next year. Everything’s finally paying off. I want to soak it in and be with my family.”

Between the Jonas Brothers collab, Platinum certifications, billions of career streams, and a world tour stretching across arenas and global festivals, Russell Dickerson isn’t just having a moment, he’s building a legacy. He made his first-ever appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this past Thursday (November 27), headline internationally, and keep pushing the sonic boundaries that define his fourth studio album FAMOUS BACK HOME.
