Seth Meyers is a father of… three?!
The 47-year-old shocked viewers when he revealed that he and his wife Alexi welcomed their third child back in mid-September in secret during his yearly Thanksgiving segment on his late-night talkshow Late Night with Seth Meyers.
In the segment, Meyers joins his sons Ashe Olson, 5, and Axel Strahl, 3, dressed up as turkeys and a pilgrim to share the news of their new baby sister Adelaide.
“We had another one, you guys,” Meyers said after his family clip played. “10 weeks ago.”

Joined by his parents, Seth’s mom shared to viewers that Adelaide’s name was inspired by Seth’s maternal grandmother.
“I knew, knowing Seth and Alexi, it had to start with an A, it had to be a cool name and I know what family means to all of them, so I thought I pretty much had it and [guessed], but I didn’t know and I didn’t want to ask,” his mother explained. “[When I found out], I burst into tears.”
Seth and Alexi got married back in 2013 and welcomed Ashe in 2016, Axel in 2018, and now Adelaide in 2021.
The late-night host and comedian said that it was “a dream come true” to welcome his daughter into the world, but teased, “I only wish it had been a boy just for [my dad] to explain to my wife, ‘It’s like the dog came back as a kid.'”
