Social Media Sensation Nadia Caterina Munno Talks Embracing Her Origin — and Love for Pasta — for New Prime Video Series “The Pasta Queen” (Exclusive)

Keep calm and pasta on! Social media sensation Nadia Caterina Munno is taking her love for whipping up her favorite dishes to the next level with the debut of her new TV show The Pasta Queen

Now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, the 13-episode culinary travel series follows Munno as she brings the viewer through a different region of Italy to learn more about local traditions — and their fresh ingredients — before bringing the beauty of Italian culture to her own kitchen to make the authentic dishes with love.

“[The show] is really is in the region that defined my upbringing,” Munno tells Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder exclusively in a virtual interview. “We start in Puglia, then we go to the region of Campania, then the Lazio region, and then Emilia Romagna. These are regions that have shaped the way that I cook and my culture.”

“It’s an Italian cooking show from an Italian family’s perspective. So my entire family is in it… we’re talking about grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, my kids… my uncles, aunties, cousins, everybody’s in it. They all live in Italy, so it really is an authentically Italian show.”

If you’ve ever seen Nadia on TikTok or Instagram, you know that she is the real deal. Her vibrant personality and entertaining cooking demos can have us scrolling all day long, making us feel as if we’re part of her big Italian family. While The Pasta Queen strives to keep its homey, authentic vibe, Nadia shares with Celeb Secrets that it was a “big jump” when a bigger crew came to help her film these episodes. But at the end of the day, she left with not only the “most amazing experience,” but also with “a second family.”

“It was very different from a home setting, but I had the most amazing experience. We were a traveling with our crew, so we became a family, really. I fed them. I loved them. We shared grievances, happy moments, everything together. I feel like they are my second family now,” she reveals.

“It was a bit of a different take from shooting in my kitchen at home to shooting with a 60 man crew. It was an electrifying experience. I got such a high from it that when we stopped shooting, for a few weeks afterwards, I would wake up with the same high and I was like, ‘where’s everybody?'”
