Tate McRae is about to take over 2025.
The multiplatinum pop sensation revealed today (November 14) that her third studio album So Close To What is dropping on February 21st via RCA Records and going on a massive world tour spanning 50-dates throughout South America, Europe, UK, and North America.
According to a press release, So Close To What represents the journey of growing up when the road ahead feels infinite and the destination increasingly elusive through unfiltered lyricism and raw emotions. It’s an introspective exploration of self-discovery, love, and searching for balance in moments of uncertainty.
Fans don’t have to wait too long to hear tracks off the new project, as the 21-year-old shared that her song “2 hands” alongside the music video will be released later today at 4pm PT/7pm ET. “2 hands” follows the irresistible “It’s ok I’m ok” which earned the star her highest-charting debut on the Billboard Hot 100 and has garnered over 165M global streams to date.
