Taylor Swift Announces She is Releasing “Red” as Next Re-Recorded Album on Her List

Taylor Swift has decided it’s time to “Begin Again” and re-record her iconic album Red!

Swift has announced via Instagram that Red is her next re-recorded album to be rereleased on November 19.

“Musically and lyrically, Red resembled a heartbroken person,” wrote Swift. “It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild, and tortured by memories past. Like trying on pieces of a new life, I went into the studio and experimented with different sounds and collaborators. And I’m not sure if it was pouring my thoughts into this album, hearing thousands of your voices sing the lyrics back to me in passionate solidarity, or if it was simply time, but something was healed along the way.”

Swift also went on to share that the album will have even more incredible work in it than before. Whilst this studio album will still contain fan-favorite hits such as “22,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and more, the singer/songwriter had a few more tracks up her sleeve that she has been holding onto. The new amped up album of Red will feature all 30 songs that were originally intended for the album back in 2012.

“Sometimes you need to talk it over (over and over and over) for it to ever really be… over. Like your friend who calls you in the middle of the night going on and on about their ex, I just couldn’t stop writing,” she wrote in the post. “This will be the first time you hear all 30 songs that were meant to go on Red. And hey, one of them is even 10 minutes long.”

Fans can agree 10 whole minutes of Taylor Swift sounds like music to our ears, literally!

The re-release of Red comes on the coat tails of Taylor’s re-release of Fearless. This six-album mission serves as Swift’s journey to taking back her music.

Back in 2020, fans learned that Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings LLC had purchased Big Machine Label Group and sold the rights to Taylor’s first six albums.

In true Taylor Swift “Style,” the star is “Fearless” in her pursuit to re-record and own her incredible works. While we patiently wait for the new Red to become available, take a listen to the re-released version of “Fearless” below!
