Before singer-songwriter Taylor Swift took the stage on Saturday night at MetLife Stadium on THE 1989 WORLD TOUR, her second show at the stadium performing to over 120,000 die hard friends and fans, she was honored for numerous chart accolades by her record label President/CEO Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Records.
It has been less than a year since Swift released her record-breaking 1989 album and there has been no slowing down for the entertainer whom New York magazine hailed on their cover as the “Biggest Pop Star In The World.” According to Soundscan, over five million copies of 1989 have been sold since its debut last fall, marking Swift the fastest artist to sell five million albums in the past 10 years. Furthermore, the critically acclaimed album has produced four #1 hit singles on the Billboard Radio Airplay charts for songs “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” “Style” and “Bad Blood.”
The 1989 WORLD TOUR, which kicked off in Japan in early May and will come to a close in Australia this December, has received much praise from fans and critics alike
