Big news for Swifties — Taylor Swift is headed to the VMAs!
The 29-year-old superstar will perform at the 2019 MTV VMAs later this month, marking her first major televised performance following the release of her highly anticipated album Lover, out August 23rd, and her first VMA performance since her killer “Bad Blood” production in 2013.

The VMAs are going to be a big night for Taylor. The “You Need to Calm Down” singer is tied for the most nominations in 2019 with 10 noms in categories that include Video of the Year, Song of the Year, and Video For Good for her singles “Me!” and “You Need to Calm Down.” Ariana Grande also received 10 nominations, with pop newcomer Billie Eilish collecting nine and Lil Nas X with eight for his smash hit “Old Town Road” with Billy Ray Cyrus. Since 2008, Taylor has won 7 VMAs overall, including 3 Best Female Video awards (“You Belong with Me,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” “Blank Space”), 2 Best Collaboration awards (“Bad Blood,” “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever”), and 1 Video of the Year award (“Bad Blood”).
