Rachael Meets Matt’s Family
John made it clear that he’s not playing around when it comes to his brother’s heart. So, right off the bat, he asked Rachael about her true intentions, if she has ever been in love, and the amount of “serious” relationships she has been in. However, he said he could definitely see a connection between Rachael and Matt.
“I’ve loved people and I’ve cared for people, but I don’t think I’ve ever been truly in love with someone to where I can see my future with him,” says Rachael in response. “This probably sounds crazy but I just feel like he is the other half of me that I’ve needed.”
Like Michelle, Rachael brought Patty to tears while expressing the love for her son. “I just want to let you know that I really, really, truly do love your son,” Rachael said to Patty during their one-on-one conversation.
“She’s cute and I like that she feels free to be herself around you,” Patty told Matt. “And I think you feel like you can be yourself around her.”
However, their conversation got serious when she asked if he could see himself proposing at the end of this crazy experience. “Yeah, that’s why I came here,” he responded. “I’ve been open-minded this entire journey. I’ve gotten to this point where there’s two women who I have these strong feelings for who I’m falling in love with. And it’s like, I have no idea what I’m gonna do.”

Patty gave Matt some motherly advice and said “There’s nothing like being in love. It makes life wonderful,” she said. “But you know, people fall in and out of love. And love is not the end, all be all,” she adds.
This heart-to-heart conversation left Matt in a tizzy and reconsidering his future actions.
