The Guys from Tyler Perry’s “Bruh” Say Season 2 Has Even More Drama Than the First (Watch)

The moment we’ve been waiting for this summer is finally here — new episodes of Tyler Perry’s Bruh are on BET+!

For those of you that aren’t familiar, Tyler Perrys’ Bruh follows the lives of four Black best friends, John (Barry Brewer), Tom (Mahdi Cocci), Mike (Phillip Mullings, Jr.), and Bill (Monti Washington), as they balance their bromance, romances and careers. Season 2 is picking up right where the first left off, as the bruhs welcome an old friend to the fold when Tom’s college roommate, Greg, moves to Atlanta to rebuild his life after getting divorced.

“[Season 2] is a journey of what you’ve seen in the first season, but just deeper,” Barry Brewer, who plays John, tells Celeb Secrets in an interview. “The drama is deeper and there are some surprises along the way, but I just think that the second season is like a second try at something. You’re a little more comfortable, so everything is better.”

While it’s great that all of the bruhs are finally together, the drama that comes with it may not be. Fighting to keep their brotherhood intact, season two finds Bill, who is still reeling from his apparent loss of Regina, contemplating an out-of-state transfer to be with her. She originally entertains the idea, however, Bill gets distracted when an ex re-enters his life.

Also this season, Mike feels that he doesn’t need the guys and that he can stand on his own two feet, later realizing how important it is to have community of friends when confronted with a dangerous addiction. John still owns the sandwich shop, but he realizes that it isn’t the lucrative opportunity he hoped for. He continues his journey to achieve career success at the level of the other guys; meeting a woman could elevate his ambition. Tom continues to be the glue to the bruhs, giving them so much attention that he hasn’t made time for anything else, but a family member’s health crisis could limit his interactions with the guys in upcoming episodes.

You have to check out the full trailer for season two below, as it gives us a taste of all of the drama that’s to come while showing how strong the bruhs’ bond gets while facing the challenges life throws at them.

Celeb Secrets sat down with the stars of the show Barry Brewer (John) , Mahdi Cocci (Tom), Phillip Mullings Jr. (Mike) and Monti Washington (Bill) to get the 4-1-1 on the juicy season.

The guys tell us what’s to come from their characters, how they spent their time filming at “camp quarantine” with Tyler Perry, and their favorite memories together when the cameras weren’t rolling. They also spilled some secrets from the show that you can only hear by watching the full interview below.
