The Honeybeez of ASU is finally here!
The Snap Original series — which is one of our 8 Snap Originals to binge during quarantine — is the platform’s latest docuseries Alabama State University’s inspirational plus-size dance squad that drops today, April 25.
In this uplifting series, the HBCU dancers let the haters be their motivators as they showcase their remarkable talents on some of the biggest collegiate stages. La La Anthony has partnered with ITV America’s Leftfield Pictures to produce the series, calling the girls “an inspiration to young dancers and performers everywhere.”
“The Honeybeez are an inspiration, not just among the HBCU dance scene, but to young dancers and performers everywhere. Their impact and success are a result of immense determination and talent, all while projecting strength, positivity and love. We can’t wait for Snapchat’s audience to get to know these amazing young women,” says La La Anthony.
The trailer below previews the squad’s journey, led by the fearless Coach Williams, from tryouts through high-pressure performances. The beez overcome myriad challenges and criticisms, fulfilling the team’s motto to “be bold, be beautiful and be you.”
