Blake Shelton!!
We are so excited to see this country star take the stage at Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards as the host of the show! We absolutely love his antics as a coach on The Voice and cannot wait to see what he brings to the awards next year.
The announcement was made Monday (Nov. 9) during the Today Show. Blake said, “My agent called and was like, ‘Man, you know, is there anything that you can think of that you’d want to do?’ And I actually had been thinking, ‘I want to hose those Kids’ Choice Awards!’ And she was like, ‘Uh, OK…'”
That’s probably the last thing we would have expected to be on Blake’s bucket list, but he is no stranger to hosting an award show. Although he’s never hosted alone, he did co-host the 2011 and 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards with Reba McEntire and with Luke Bryan every year since then.
“I’ve been on countless stages throughout my life,” Blake said, “but none have promised the madness, excitement and endless slime as Nick’s Kids’ Choice Awards, which is undoubtedly the ultimate party for kids. There is only one team here, and it’s Team Kids’ Choice so bring it on Nickelodeon!”
We are definitely on Team Watch-Blake-Get-Slimed.
You can catch Blake hosting Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards live on Saturday, March 12, 2016. Hopefully there will be some surprises as big as he is!
