The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived.
After much speculation (and our report that the new music was coming this week), the Jonas Brothers have released their first single in six years titled “Sucker.”
The song is a confident, charismatic and catchy anthem that stays loyal to the band’s sound in 2013 (think Pom Poms/First Time era) with a modern twist. Produced by Ryan Tedder and co-produced by Frank Dukes, “Sucker” shakes from a slick beat, shuffling claps, and raucous guitars towards a whistling bridge and the fiery and funky refrain. It’s for sure going to be this summer’s bop!
In addition to premiering the song, the guys released a cinematic video featuring Kevin, Joe, and Nick with their leading ladies — Danielle Jonas, Sophie Turner, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Shot in the UK by director Anthony Mandler at the Hartfield Hour, the visual also features DNC drummer Jack Lawless… talk about a blast from the past!
Next week, the Jonas Brothers will take over the The Late Late Show with James Corden, which will run from Monday March 4-Thursday March 7 on CBS. They will join Corden on Monday for an exclusive chat on the couch, telling the full story behind their reunion. Throughout the week, they will take part in sketches, songs and various LATE LATE SHOW segments, including “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts,” a brand new “Carpool Karaoke,” plus the world premiere musical performance of their new single, “Sucker.”
