It’s an end of an era for The Regrettes.
Forming in 2015, The Regrettes — comprised of Lydia Night (vocals), Genessa Gariano (guitar), Brooke Dickson (bass) and Drew Thomsen (drums) — had a stellar run. They released three LPs and one EP: 2017’s Feel Your Feelings Fool!, 2018’s Attention Seeker EP, 2019’s How Do You Love?, and last year’s Further Joy, along with playing hundreds (if not thousands) of shows either as headliners or direct support, with their most recent run being with Yungblud.
However, in November, the band took to social media to share that they were going on an indefinite hiatus to pursue other projects, but would commemorate their whirlwind journey with three final shows at the Fonda Theatre in the heart of Hollywood before the year wrapped.
“If you’re reading this or you’ve been to a show or bought a record, you’ve given us all some of the best years of our lives,” the band wrote on Instagram. “After all these amazing years together, we are parting ways to focus on other projects.”
The lengthy and heartfelt statement also noted that there is “absolutely nothing but love in our hearts for each other,” and they hope for their final shows to be a place to “dance and celebrate the end of an incredible run.”

After much anticipation, The Regrettes final shows commenced in Tinsel Town earlier this week, and the Celeb Secrets gals were one of the lucky fans to score a ticket into the memorable and bittersweet moment.
Front woman Lydia Night, along with her bandmates Genessa, Drew, and Brooke, took to the stage with such pride and passion on Wednesday (December 20), as each night was dedicated to each of their albums. The iconic venue was filled with lots of tears and energy with a set list to match each project they were showcasing. Donning self-decorated jumpsuits, Lydia even hopped into the crowd to have fans sign hers like a yearbook.

The amount of enthusiasm and love every single audience member at the farewell shows was absolutely incredible, which is why saying goodbye is so bittersweet. While we know each member will go on to pursue and accomplish amazing things, The Regrettes have brought something so special to the music scene and have created such a fun, loving, and welcoming community that we were so lucky to witness for one last time.
If you never had the chance to check them out, you might really “regrette” it, but their music and good vibes live will certainly live on thanks to music streaming platforms and the power of the Internet. Although they may not be together as The Regrettes moving forward, fans new and old, can still continue to support the amazing music that once was, and continue to support them all in their future endeavors.
