This Restaurant Inside One of Nashville’s Most Historic Art Deco Buildings Is About to Be Your Go-To Brunch Spot This Summer

Whether you’re a unicorn Nashvillian or just in town for the weekend, you can’t help but notice all of the new bars, restaurants, shopping malls, and hotels are opening each day in Downtown and beyond.

Meet Holston House Nashville — a new boutique property that’s part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt family. Just steps away from the bustling Broadway strip of entertainment, nightlife and dining, Holston House Nashville has a ton of offerings for someone who wants a quick escape from what the iconic street is known for without venturing too far from the epicenter of Music City.

“Holston House Nashville is a harmony of old-meets-new: a timeless building with a modern art deco twist, located just steps from the city’s celebrated live music, dining, and sports venues, including the legendary Ryman Auditorium,” the hotel says of their property on their website. “Our premier boutique hotel was inspired by Music City’s history and has honored the craft of music-making and broadcasting since 1929.”

The Celeb Secrets gals had the chance to visit the property’s signature restaurant TENN during CMA Fest 2024 for brunch last month, and it was the perfect midday reset before taking on a full evening of concerts over at Nissan Stadium and Ascend Amphitheater.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff and were taken to our own booth, where we were given menus filled with healthful, vibrant choices that featured contemporary American cuisine with a touch of southern charm.

Kicking off the afternoon by sipping a classic Breakfast Margarita ($13) with blanco tequila, raspberry preserves and lime, we ordered the restaurant’s popular Brunch Fries ($15) as an appetizer. The shoestring fries topped with bacon, cheese curds, sausage gravy and a sunny side egg were a great way to embrace what Music City’s food scene is all about while still sticking to the “brunch” theme. For our main courses, we chose a Nashville staple — Hot Chicken and Waffles ($18) — and a necessity when ordering brunch — Smashed Avocado Toast ($17).

Whether you’re looking to start the day with a low-key, delicious meal before tackling everything Nashville has to offer or you’re just wanting to grab a bite while catching up with your BFF, TENN is definitely a must-try for the summer. Executive Chef Bryan Lombard knows how to combine a stunning aesthetic with seasonal ingredients from regional farmers, ranchers, anglers and artisans without the hefty price tag. Diners feel both welcomed and inspired during their time at TENN, all while indulging in mouth-watering bites without any outside noise.

You can visit TENN daily for brunch from 7AM-2PM and for dinner Thursday-Sunday beginning at 4PM inside the Holston House Nashville at 118 7th Avenue N, Nashville, TN 37203. For reservations, please call 629-208-1613 or visit their website here.
