Tomorrow (June 23rd) starts a brand new era for Tigirlily Gold, as the musical duo will be dropping their highly-anticipated EP, Blonde, on all platforms.
According to a recent press release, Blonde is “a deeply personal record that includes poignant tales of love and loss alongside powerful anthems and songs of female empowerment,” and we seriously can’t wait to hear it for ourselves.
“The whole EP is just encompassing that bold, confident energy, being able to poke fun at yourself a little bit and just being who you are,” Kendra Slaubaugh shared with us in an exclusive interview.
Celeb Secrets reporter Melanie Rooten sat down with Tigirlily Gold, consisting of sisters Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh, to chat ALL about the brand new EP, as well as what other music they currently have in the works.

Previously released songs on Blonde will include “Blonde” and “Hometown Song,” as well as the sister duo’s current radio single “Shoot Tequila,” which we talked ALL about at Country Radio Seminar earlier this year — Click HERE to read our exclusive interview with Krista and Kendra.
In addition to these three singles, “the new one that’s gonna be out for everybody on Friday is a song called ‘Move On,’ which is kind of a little bit more sultry, sexy, fun anthem, so we’re really excited for the world to hear this,” Kendra shared.
When asked for more details about the forthcoming track, Krista revealed to us, “It’s 2023, so we encourage all of our ladies, ‘Hey, if you see an attractive man out there, you wanna hit on him, make the first move,’ so we’re encouraging all of our ladies to make the first move in a song called ‘Move On.'”
“It’s kind of the first initial chapter and teaser of the full-length Blonde that’s coming,” Kendra dished, and fans can’t contain their excitement.
When it comes to the “the full-length Blonde that’s coming,” Kendra shared with Celeb Secrets, “The first part is really fun and energetic and bold, and the second half… it shows a little bit of a different side. It’s a little more, maybe a little more serious undertones, a little darker in some ways, but still rocking.”
“We’re excited to kind of share both parts of who we are and all this music, so it’s been fun because every song really is getting to live its best life,” she concluded passionately.
“Like we said, this first half is a little more fun, a little more peppy, and the second half of thing is a little more sassy,” Krista added, ultimately revealing that the musical duo’s upcoming project will show ALL of the different sides of Tigirlily Gold.
Even though Kendra and Krista have been making music together for over 10 years, the sister duo evolved as a whole throughout the creation of Blonde.
“I feel like we completely unlocked a new sound for us and really have honed in on what Tigirlily Gold is to us,” Krista spilled.
“When we wrote ‘Blonde,’ we were just chasing that feel [and] that sound. Ever since that song, that unlocked a whole new thing for us, but I feel like we’ve really just tried to be as transparent as possible with our songwriting. We’re not trying to filter out the human experience. We’re not trying to sugarcoat [or] candycoat anything,” she continued.
“If you’re having a good time with tequila, we’re gonna talk about what happens when you have a really, really good time with tequila or, you know, like ‘Move On.’ It’s just like all the people, all the things that people are actually going through. We don’t want to filter that experience at all,” Krista concluded with a smile.
Kendra then opened up to Celeb Secrets, sharing what Tigirlily Gold truly means to her, as well as what mark her and her sister want to make on the country music industry ❤️
“We’re family. We’re sisters. We wanna bring that family harmony to the genre. We wanna bring that fresh girl group perspective energy, and there hasn’t been a sister duo around in country music for a while, so we’re hoping to really kind of fill hopefully that gap that maybe people are missing,” she shared.
“I mean, we’re family. Our fans are family. Our team is our family. Like, that is something that’s really, you know, a part of who we are, and so we hope people can feel that,” Kendra concluded passionately.
