Leave it to Tatyana Joseph to bring the Black Girl Magic!
The 21-year-old is an actress, model, and digital content creator who has been captivating her Gen-Z audience of over 4 million with videos about beauty, family, and comedy on TikTok. With her amusing and down-to-earth personality, the future is nothing but bright for the social media star.
For those who don’t know, Tatyana grew up in a military family and moved often. During this time, she turned to social media to watch her favorite creators and looked up to them as role models. However, she didn’t have too many young and successful Black female creators to look up to.
“I realized when I was in high school that one of the biggest passions I had was helping people, being around people and then performing,” Joseph told Celeb Secrets reporter Lupe LLerenas in an exclusive interview. “I was like — ‘I don’t think I can make any money off these, but I don’t really care. We’re gonna try and we’re going to do it.'”
Today, she’s happy to fill that much needed role, especially by an audience that has embraced her so supportively in her quick rise to fame. Tatyana enjoys sharing life talks and beauty-focused content that’s specifically geared towards people of color. She uses her platforms to post natural hair care tutorials, her favorite make-up looks, and more with the help of several major beauty brands.

Aside from setting trends and serving looks online, the 21-year-old has made a niche for herself as a “big sister” or “best friend” role that her Black fans can proudly look up to.
“I realized that a lot of people don’t really have that a best friend or that big sister,” Tatyana shared. “I would describe the vibe that I give off is ‘best friend’ or ‘sisterly’ because I do think that I have a good head on my shoulders. I think I’m a little bit of a role model now.”
Tatyana’s social media content is chalk-full of pep talks about friendships, relationships, and everything in-between. She hopes fans can see her as a “voice of reason” when they need it and are able to take away a sense of perseverance, positivity, and the feeling that they can conquer the world. She is also passionate about promoting health and body positivity for women of all colors and sizes.
