Tomorrow X Together (TXT) reveals a brand new trailer ahead of their upcoming album that’s set for release on May 31.
In a concept clip for The Chaos Chapter: Freeze, the South Korean quintet (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Hueningkai) unites at an arcade until they’re mysteriously attacked with snowballs and their game machine’s coin slot freezes over. Trapped in what appears to be an isolated shopping mall, all five band members flee the arcade only to encounter increasingly aggressive ice attacks.
Despite the havoc and incoming snow flurries, all TXT members seriously never stop dancing until they literally freeze into ice sculptures! At one point, we even see the silhouette of an unknown girl who approaches the frozen group mates. Who is she and what could she have to do with the ice battle? Is she the only one who possesses the power to melt the ice away? It looks like eager fans will have to wait for more music videos to find out!
Since launching just this morning (May 10), the concept sneak peak has already turned heads with over 1.3-million views and counting. According to a press release from the Hybe Corporation, future teasers will include three sets of concept shots, along with an album preview and tracklist. All these incoming sneak peaks will raise awareness for the K-pop boy band’s second studio album as it gears up for a worldwide debut later this month.
Until we have more details, we’re left trying to piece together all the subtle hints that were dropped throughout the three-minute preview. Opening with the words “Fight, flight or freeze,” the video has us anxious to learn what fate will hold for one of our all-time fave K-pop boy bands.
