Tyler Rich is turning over a new leaf.
His newest “Home We Choose,” co-written with Emily Falvey and Lalo Guzman, depicts the singer’s move from California to Tennessee to build a life of his own with wife, Sabina.
He says of the new song, “‘Home We Choose’ is about finding a place in the world that feels right to you, whether it’s where you grew up or somewhere entirely new. It’s a reminder that home is more about the choices we make, the people we surround ourselves with, and the memories we build along the way. It’s never too late to start over, and it’s never too soon to settle down.
The music video for “Home We Choose,” directed by Sean McGee and filmed in Rich’s adopted hometown of Nashville, is also available today. The video features iconic landmarks of Music City, including the AT&T “Batman” Building, and tells the story of an aspiring musician moving to Nashville to chase their dreams and establish their new homebase —a journey Rich himself knows well.
“Although Nashville is now home, the concept of ‘home’ feels a bit funny to me since I’m on the road about 75% of the year,” said Rich. “My wife and I both have non-traditional careers that keep us away from home often, but we make it a priority to spend time together. Whenever we’re together, that’s where home really is for me.”

“Home We Choose” follows the 38-year-old’s “All The Small Things,” marking his first release since embarking on a new musical chapter without a major label behind him. Not to be mistaken for Blink-182’s song, the heartfelt track paves the way for what’s to come for him in 2025.
When speaking with Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder on the red carpet at the 2024 SESAC Nashville Music Awards last month, Tyler revealed that this song — along with others coming in the near future — exercised his creativity and allowed him to “fall in love with music again.”
“I saw that title and sometimes it’s an exercise. I’ll look at titles of other songs and I’ll think, ‘What would I write that about?’ I was just like man, all the small things and I had just left my label. I had revamped my whole team and took a chance on myself. I was just like, ‘I’m going to do this independently,” Rich shared.
“I want to release the songs I want to do. So ‘All The Small Things’ is about how scary that can be. But at the end of the day, careers and stuff don’t matter. You can’t take anything with you, and when I’m old, hopefully a 130-year-old man, staring at picture frames, that the bigger picture frame of life is full of all the small things.”
Promising a new project with roughly 20 songs in the new year, Rich says releasing that amount of new material all at once is a “thank you” to the fans for being patient with him over the course of his career.
“When I was on the label, we only released 18 songs in seven years. So as a thank you to the fans for being patient, I was like, ‘I’m gonna give you guys 18 plus songs in one year,'” he explains.
“I’m getting deeper with real life issues. I’ve been through real things friends and other songwriters have gone through and I’ve always had a really great intimate connection with my fans, but this is gonna take it that much deeper,” he continues.
After the holidays, Tyler will embark on his 2025 Hello California Tour in the spring. Kicking off on March 20 in Petaluma, CA, the budding country star will make stops in San Jose, CA on March 21, Medford, OR on March 22, West Hollywood, CA on March 27 and Roseville, CA on March 28. You can get your tickets at tylerrich.com, and stay tuned for more dates to be announced within the next couple months.
