Tyler Rich Teases Highly-Anticipated Sophomore Album, As Well As Forthcoming Track Inspired by His Late Dog, Abby (Exclusive)

Tyler Rich has always been a superstar in our eyes, but with tons of new tunes on the horizon, he is about to become a global sensation.

The one-of-a-kind artist has amassed nearly half a billion global streams to date and notched three number one hits on SiriusXM’s The Highway with his debut album, Two Thousand Miles, however, this was just the beginning of what’s to come.

Releasing his highly-anticipated three-track EP, I Know You Do, this past March (featuring “Good Enough,” “I Know You Do” and “Heaven Is Your Hometown“), Rich is working on his sophomore album as we speak, and fans seriously cannot contain their excitement.

Earlier this summer at Music City Center during CMA Fest 2023, Tyler Rich caught up with Celeb Secrets revealing what exactly he has in the works, including a soon-to-be smash hit titled “Dogs Don’t Die.”

The Northern California-raised, Nashville-rooted artist is “always working on new music, always writing and always going crazy,” and he has quite a few tricks up his sleeve.

“I’ve got a new song called ‘Dogs Don’t Die’ that is coming out very soon, the 37-year-old teased. “I lost my dog that I had for 17 years. I rescued her when I was 19. She was 5 months old. I just turned 37 and I just said bye to Abby, and so I wrote a song that is just all about the fact that dogs don’t die.”

He continued, “They stay with you forever, and I know I’m gonna be finding her hair forever, and even if the song makes you cry, it is not a sad song. It is a feel good, happy song about just how incredible dogs are” — how sweet is that?

Given that “Dogs Don’t Die” was inspired by his own pet, Rich dished that “creativity for new songs can come from everywhere. It can come from the different co-writers we’re writing with. I get a lot of inspiration from poems and movies I watch or read. Just anything in life, you know?”

“I’ve been married now for almost four years and been with my wife for seven years, and so I haven’t been in a breakup in a long time,” he continued with a grin. “We write so many songs, so you gotta just find inspiration in the carpet, the drapes, I mean everything, you know, at all times… I try to keep my creative mind open in every conversation.”

Aside from working on some new tunes, the country troubadour is hitting the road for the remainder of 2023 to bring his one-of-a-kind performance to multiple venues around North America.

“We’re always on the road and always touring. We will be in Salt Lake City and Cedar City, Utah next weekend. We will be all around. North Dakota. I think for the very first time we’re playing North Dakota this summer… We’re playing in Quebec, all around,” Rich shared back in June, however, his newest endeavor is his Halloween tour in late October.

“ANNOUNCEMENT! 3rd show added for the Halloween tour, in Bakersfield!! Join us for 3 nights of Halloween costume party chaos 🤘🏼 last year we did Stranger Things. This year is gonna be 🔥🔥 any guesses? Tickets on sale NOW,” he shared via Instagram earlier this month.

While the Halloween tour is sure to be nothing short of spectacular, what exactly does a Tyler Rich live show entail?

“As far as our performance goes, we love to bring the energy. A lot of us came from the rock world in the past and what not, and so we turn the distortion up loud, we play the drums loud, and we party, no matter what time it is,” the talented singer-songwriter gushed.

Although he has achieved so much during his time as an artist, from releasing smash hits to touring around the world and beyond, there are more and more goals the musical maestro wants to hit during his lifetime as a musician.

“My goal for 2023 is to record a whole lot more music and finish album two. That will hopefully be out this fall, and then tour, tour, tour… Play all these new songs to new people in new cities that we haven’t even met yet,” he spilled.

In addition to this, the country crooner continued, “I would love a number one song on country radio. I’ve had a couple of number one songs, a few on XM. I would love it on terrestrial. I’d love, I don’t know, just to keep doing this until I’m too old to do it, and then I just play sitting down.”

We can’t wait to watch the star-in-the-making continue to shine these next few years, until he is “too old to do it” — the future is bright for Tyler Rich.
