The modernized soulful record showcases Vella’s signature vocal prowess and the music video shows the 17-year-old truly coming into her own. We’ve been following Vella’s musical journey for a few months now and the growth in her artistry and presence does not go unnoticed.
“Rumors” is the follow-up to Vella’s recently released single “Sky Without Stars,” which is the first since rebranding from Gabriella Valdes. Describing herself as the love child of Amy Winehouse and Janis Joplin, Vella is an all-out rockstar whose soulful voice will have you hooked after just one listen. No wonder she is always going viral on TikTok!

Celeb Secrets: Congratulations on “Rumors!” We love this song. What does this song mean to you, and what do you hope your fans take away from the song?
Vella: “Thank you! This song means a lot to me. When I first heard it, I immediately fell in love with it. For me, the message is to stay true to yourself and to not care what other people think. I want my fans to feel empowered and to realize that it doesn’t matter if people are talking shit about you or spreading rumors. Just roll with it and be yourself. Don’t let their opinion bring you down. At the end of the day, who cares what other people think about you?”
CS: We have to talk about the music video..it is epic! What was your favorite part about filming the video?
V: “I’m glad you liked it! My favorite part about the music video were the outfits! I love how we used different kinds of looks and not just one throughout. I also really liked filming the fire scene. The whole place actually looked burned and I thought that was really really cool.”
CS: We love your fashion-sense! Who inspires your style and what are some of your favorite places to shop?
V: “Elton John, Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin! One if my favorite place to shop is this vintage store in LA called Jet Rag and iguana vintage store.”
CS: You already have two successful singles under your belt and it is only April! What else can we expect from you this year?
V: “More music, an album and my tour!!! I am excited to see you all <3″
CS: Can you tell us a little bit about your tour and where fans can get tickets?
V: “We are now setting up a band for the tour and it is sounding absolutely amazing. I cannot wait wait for my fans to hear this band.
