VidCon is Back (and In-Person) for 2021 – And We’re So Excited to See Our Fav Creators

It’s the best news we’ve heard all year — VidCon is BACK and in-person this fall!

The world’s largest celebration of online video and digital creators is officially returning to the Anaheim Convention Center this October, with tickets going on sale this summer. People that aren’t able to attend IRL will still have the chance to go to VidCon, as there will be digital ticket options available that give fans the opportunity to experience the event at home both live and on demand.

A ton of your fav creators are scheduled to be attending, too.

Spencer X, Antonio Garza, Brent Rivera, Molly Burke, DangMattSmith, InquisitorMaster, Aaron’s Animals, Isra Hirsi, Taylor Cassidy, Alan Chikin Chow, The Montoya Twinz, MeganPlays, Alex Wassabi, Sofie Dossi, Trevi Moran, and VidCon co-founder Hank Green are all expected to be marking appearances throughout the 4-day event, with a ton more from TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Roblox to be announced at a later date.

“We are so excited to bring our flagship event back to Anaheim this Fall after such an unprecedented time for the world. While it might look a little different this year, we can’t wait to see our fans in person — along with bringing the magic of VidCon to our global audience through our new hybrid digital experience,” said VidCon General Manager Jim Louderback. “We loved staying connected to our fans last year through VidCon Now’s virtual programming, and will build on that in 2021. But in-person experiences are the core of who we are, and we can’t wait to see everyone in real life in Anaheim this October.”

According to a press release, this year’s fall event will feature VidCon’s three signature tracks — Community, Creator, and Industry — providing attendees session and experiences tailored to their specific interests. Details on programming, partner activations, and additional Featured Creators will be announced in the coming months.

As part of its new hybrid model, VidCon will be rolling out its first digital ticketing options for those who can’t attend the event in person. For the first time ever, VidCon is providing an on-demand subscription service, providing year-round access to Industry and Creator Track workshops, panels, and keynotes from VidCon events in 2021. Plus, VidCon’s livestream ticket will allow fans to virtually attend key CommunityTrack programming and performances from the event in real time. These new virtual experiences will build on the event’s signature programming, bringing the magic of VidCon to audiences IRL and digitally on a global scale, complementing its roster of international events in Mexico City, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, São Paulo, Australia, and London. Tickets will be available soon.

VidCon US 2021 comes on the heels of the success of VidCon’s virtual programming, VidCon Now, which has attracted 1.2 million unique attendees since launching last summer as a year-round virtual experience.
