Viral pop songstress Logan Alexandra is back with her latest single “Obsessed With You” and we’re not lying when we say it’s her best release yet.
The Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter has been making waves across the Internet ever since her 2019 debut, and she’s about to go viral once again thanks to her newest track. “Obsessed With You” is one of Logan’s strongest releases to date, featuring her soulful vocals atop a modern pop sound that highlights Logan’s signature tone.
“[‘Obsessed With You’] is fun, danceable, and quirky. It’s a sonic re-imagination of how I feel when I think about my partner,” Logan tells Celeb Secrets in an exclusive interview.
“My then boyfriend, who is now my fiancé, inspired these lyrics. My fiancé and I have been together for six years and I’m constantly amazing that after all this time we are still obsessed with each other. Thus ‘Obsessed With You’ was written and ready to take on the world. I hope that listeners relate to this song in all different ways. For some it may not be a partner they are obsessed with, so they interpret the song in a different way.”
For the music video, which is also out now, Alexandra brings a darker element to the song that will bring you into a world of mystery that will have you feeling like you are in your own mini thriller. If you ask us, it’s one of her most compelling visuals she’s ever released.
“I wanted to take the idea of being ‘obsessed’ and turn it into a more creepy undertone,” she says about the video’s concept. “We were inspired by ‘Get Out’ and ‘Wanda Vision…'”

The talented artist is no stranger to going viral as her music and mash-ups have racked up millions views across TikTok and YouTube. She has even teamed up with the likes of Piper Rockelle, who has appeared in some of Logan’s videos.

Celeb Secrets: Hi Logan! Congratulations on “Obsessed With You.” We love this song and you sound great. What was the inspiration behind it? What do you hope listeners take away?
Logan Alexandra: “I wrote this song in April of 2020. I had just finished listening to Dua Lipa’s album ‘Future Nostalgia’ and was so inspired. I sat down at my piano and started writing ‘Obsessed With You’ and within an hour the song was completed. It started with the bass line, then the chords, and the melody flowed out of me like the song was already written. Last came the lyrics. My then boyfriend, who is now my fiancé, inspired these lyrics. My fiancé and I have been together for six years and I’m constantly amazing that after all this time we are still obsessed with each other. Thus Obsessed With You was written and ready to take on the world. I hope that listeners relate to this song in all different ways. For some it may not be a partner they are obsessed with, so they interpret the song in a different way. This song is fun, danceable, and quirky and is a sonic re-imagination of how I feel when I think about my partner. I want my listeners to feel that and relate to that emotion in their own way.”
CS: You posted on Instagram that this is the best song you’ve ever written. Did you know when writing it that it would be so special? How has your writing process evolved over the years?
LA: “I knew immediately after finishing this song that is was special. That feeling was confirmed when every person I showed it to said ‘this is your best song yet.’ I wrote this song alone and was so certain about it, so when it came time to show the song to others there was a fear of rejection. I knew this song was special, but if they don’t like it my opinion may change. I shut down those fears and thoughts and showed to almost everyone I know. This is different for me. I usually like to keep my songs private before release, but the more people that listened with positive feedback, the more I was affirmed that this song is something special.”
CS: If you could write a song for any other artist who would you pick? Which artist would you like to write with for your own project?
LA: “I would love to write for Selena Gomez. A lot of her songs are quirky and unique, probably due to the fact that she has one of my favorite songwriters on her team; Julia Micheals. Working with them would be a dream. For my own projects I would love to collaborate with Taylor Swift. She is a huge inspiration to me and the reason I started writing my own music. Working with her or even meeting her would be a full circle moment for me.”
CS: Of course, we have to talk about that music video! It is our favorite video you’ve released. How involved were you with the creative and where did you draw inspiration from?
LA: “I’m so glad this music video is your favorite! I wanted to take the idea of being ‘obsessed’ and turn it into a more creepy undertone. My original idea was as follows: There’s a guy I follow around town by spying with binoculars, hiding behind a newspaper, and I have a whole investigation board set up, trying to figure out how to make him mine. I eventually cook up a potion to make him fall in love with me, and it works, but the love is short lived as the video ends with me having a new obsession. I presented this idea to the director, Josh Belveal, and with a few tweaks to the storyline he created what is now the ‘Obsessed With You’ video. He was inspired by the movie ‘Get Out’ and ‘Wanda Vision.’ A sitcom feel mixed with horror. I loved the idea and we ran with it. Creating music videos is one of my favorite parts of making music. I love being as involved as possible, but at the same time I’ve been working with the same team years now and trust them with everything. Music videos bring a song to life and in this case it give the song a whole new meaning.”
CS: Lastly, since we are Celeb Secrets can you share any secret funny moments from filming the music video?
LA: “For the outdoor picnic scene of the music video the set designer texted me to ask if I had a cricket set she could use. Somehow I read ‘cricket’ as ‘crochet’ and brought yarn, knitting needles, and anything else ‘crochet’ related. I showed up confidently with a bag of crochet stuff, and realized I misunderstand the text, and she needed ‘cricket’ the game set not ‘crochet!’ We were laughing about it for a long time. Always read through your texts carefully!”
