What are the Kids’ Choice Awards?

The Kids’ Choice Awards are an annual American children’s award ceremony produced by Nickelodeon. The family-friendly evening is usually held on Saturday night in late March or early April. Each and every year, young viewers everywhere have the opportunity to vote for their favorite TV shows, movies, and musical acts leading up to the big evening, where the celebs get honored for their hard work and dedication within the entertainment industry.

How can I watch the Kids’ Choice Awards?

The Kids’ Choice Awards will air LIVE on Saturday, March 13 at 7:30 PM ET. You can join in on the fun by turning on Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, and the Nick Jr. channels.

Who is hosting?

The show will be hosted by a Nickelodeon legend, aka a former All That actor turned successful Saturday Night Live cast member Kenan Thompson.

“Nickelodeon has been part of my life and my family forever and I can’t wait to host this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards. Am I worried about getting slimed? Naaaah. It’s going to come fast and cold, but it’s not my first rodeo – you know what I’m saying? So, bring on the slime, and let’s do this!” says Kenan in a statement.

Who is Performing?

The one and only Justin Bieber is set to headline the 2021 KCAs. The megastar will be performing his new track “Anyone” and his 2020 single “Intentions” alongside Quavo. This year will mark 10 years since Bieber was first nominated for an award at the show. Now, the superstar has 12 KCA wins under his belt.

“The Kids’ Choice Awards was my first awards show and returning to share my new music is a full-circle moment. Although the show may look different this year, the KCA’s are always a ton of fun and there will definitely be no shortage of slime,” says Bieber in a statement.

Who are the big nominees?

YouTuber and social media Influencer, Brent Rivera announced the 2021 KCA nominees and the long list is FIRE!

Of course, Justin Bieber leads the pack with 5 nominations, followed by Stranger Things (4); and Ariana Grande, The Croods: A New Age, Henry Danger, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Soul, Trolls World Tour, and Wonder Woman 1984 (3 each). You can view a full list of nominees here, and fans can STILL vote here.

This week, Celeb Secrets hopped on a Zoom call with “Favorite Male TV Star” nominee Dylan Gilmer — aka Young Dylan — and he told us all about what it’s like to be nominated, what we can expect from the big show and more.

“I cant believe it,” Dylan shared with Celeb Secrets regarding the honor in a recent interview. “It’s my first [KCAs], so that’s why I’m so excited to get slimed or get the blimp.”
