Ariana Grande will Open the 2018 Billboard Music Awards by Performing New Music

The pop star also spills details on her upcoming album!

These past few days have been a WHIRLWIND for Arianators. Ariana Grande released her comeback single “No Tears Left to Cry” last Friday, which hit No. 1 on iTunes in 85+ markets and No. 1 on U.S. iTunes for seven consecutive days in its debut week.

To celebrate the new single, the pop star made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (May 1) and COMPLETELY spilled the tea on her upcoming music. From hinting at the tracklisting to teasing the album release date, we thought that we had everything we needed to know about the new record until she announced this — Ariana will be making an appearance at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards!

NBC and dick clark productions state that Grande will be opening the annual award ceremony with a “show-stopping performance from her upcoming LP,” meaning that we’ll be getting ANOTHER inside look as to what these new songs actually sound like. BTS, Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa and Shawn Mendes are also tapped to perform, making the 2018 BBMAs the best one yet. 

Hosted by Kelly Clarkson, the 2018 Billboard Music Awards air LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 20th @ 8PM ET/5PM PT on NBC.
