Congrats are in order for Bobby Brown this evening!
The 23-year-old professional freestyle skier snagged the silver medal in the GoPro Ski Big Air competition at X Games Aspen 2015 by scoring an 82.00. Even though Brown and third place finalist Elias Ambühl had the exact same score, Brown‘s single score was 44.00 while Ambühl‘s was 42.00.
Bobby’s runs were concise for the first half of Heat 1A, scoring 79.00 and advancing him to the finals. The highlight of Bobby’s time on Big Air, however, was not advancing to the finals, but rather his crash (and cracked helmet) during his fourth run. Paramedics believe that Brown suffered from a slight concussion, but he continued to take three more runs and eventually place second in the competition.
CS4U caught up with Bobby right after he won silver for the GoPro Ski Big Air competition at the X Games. In our interview, Brown talks about continuing to compete after his hard fall, what it feels like to be back on the podium, and a silly secret behind his start of skiing. Check out the video below.
X Games Aspen 2015 continues its coverage tomorrow with Men’s Ski SuperPipe on January 25th, beginning at 6PM ET on ESPN.
