On Tuesday, we were invited to check out the world premiere of DisneyToon Studios’ new summer flick, Planes: Fire & Rescue. The event was held at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre, and the red carpet was decked out in enough real life rescue vehicles to delight attendees young and old. The Planes of Fame Air Museum supplied the helicopters and trucks, including a 9/11 first responder firetruck, and the Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company was on hand to raise awareness of financial support for the LAFD. One fireman even brought the station fire dog, a dalmatian named Wilshire, who delighted everyone by teaching them how to “stop, drop, and roll.” To top it all off, LAFD firemen and their families walked the red carpet together–making for truly heartwarming moments.
Attending the premiere were guests such as the film’s stars, Dane Cook (Dusty) and Julie Bowen (Dipper), producer John Lasseter, and singer Brad Paisley, whose Rising Star co-stars Ludacris and Ke$ha showed up to support. Mario Lopez appeared with his family, and Disney Channel’s Sabrina Carpenter and Joey Bragg were happy to chat it up with us.
