Meet our new Music Monday artist this week, Mary Sarah.
Mary Sarah is a fresh country artist that is ready to roll with the big leagues in Nashville. At just 19 years old, Mary Sarah has already sung a lifetime of country music. The proof is in Bridges, the Texas native’s remarkable new collection of 12 duets with the architects of country.
The list of names on Bridges is dizzying: Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Vince Gill, Tanya Tucker and the late Ray Price are among those who, duly impressed and charmed by Mary Sarah’s voice, lent their own to the album. Produced by long time Nashville veteran producer Kent Wells, with input from the legendary Freddy Powers who wrote hits for many of the artist on the project, Bridges is a labor of love that stays true to the intent of the original songs, while adding a fresh twist and voice from today’s newer generation of up and comers in country music. Currently, Mary Sarah is in the studio working on new music while performing for her fans across the country.
