Drake Brings 3-Year-Old Son Adonis on Stage to Accept Honor
P!nk wasn’t the only one to turn the Billboard Awards into a family affair. Drake took the Billboard stage to accept the honor of Artist of the Decade, but it was his 3-year old son, Adonis, who stole all of our hearts.
Drake once famously rapped on “Emotionless:” “I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world / I was hiding the world from my kid.” Well, there’s no hiding anymore. Drake accepted his award with little Adonis clinging to his leg, as we were clinging on to our tears.
The most priceless moment had to be when Drake finished up his speech saying to his son “And to you. I want to dedicate this award to you.” To which he picked Adonis, and the crowd went wild, causing the toddler to burst into tears.
As for the “Artist of the Decade” award, it was well deserved. Drake holds the title for most Billboard awards with a total of 29. Not to mention his chart-topping status, epic streaming records and ability to stay relevant for more than a decade. It was time for the Canadian-born rapper to get his flowers!
