There were a lot of Sacha Baron Cohens accepting the Comedic Genius award
While he didn’t win either of the Oscars he was nominated for this year (as he pointed out himself), Sacha Baron Cohen did win the coveted Comedic Genius Award from this awards show. Only three others have won it in the past: Will Ferrell in 2013, Kevin Hart in 2015 and Melissa McCarthy in 2016.
Like any great comedian, Baron Cohen knows what makes his audience laugh and brought that into his acceptance speech. So instead of just him accepting, Borat, Ali G, Brüno and Admiral General Aladeen appeared as well. The characters show why he is so iconic, and we cannot wait to see what he does next.
