BEST DOCU-REALITY SHOW

“Below Deck Mediterranean,” “Black Ink Crew New York,” “Bling Empire,” “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. ”

Who We Think Will Win:  The Netflix docu-reality show Bling Empire was recently released in January of 2021 and instantly sparked conversations amongst reality TV enthusiasts everywhere. The American reality TV television series captures the lives of wealthy East Asian and East Asian-American socialites based in the Los Angeles area. The glamorous show is typically described as the “real-life Crazy Rich Asians.” However, what makes this show different from the rest, is that it is the first American reality television series with a full cast of East Asians. Due to the phenomenal release and positive response, Netflix renewed the series for a second season back in March. The cast of Bling Empire is also in the running for “Best New Unscripted Series.”

BEST DATING SHOW

“90 Day Fiancé,” “Ex On The Beach,” “Love Is Blind,” “Ready to Love,” “The Bachelorette”

Who We Think Will Win:  While all of these shows were amazing, it has to come down to Love is Blind and The BacheloretteLove is Blind, hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey has become one of the most popular reality TV shows on Netflix in 2020. The social experiment show left the world obsessing and analyzing the strange concept of marrying someone after only 10 days. However, TV-goers did not just fall in love with the show, but the couples that formed within the tiny pods such as Amber Pike and husband Barnett and Damian Powers and Giannina. Although Love Is Blind is our frontrunner in this category, The Bachelorette might take home the win for “Best Dating Show” due to the shocking turn of events between Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams

BEST REALITY CAST

“90 Day Fiancé,” “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,”

“RuPaul’s Drag Race,” “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”

Who We Think Will Win: RuPaul’s Drag Race is the most nominated reality series with four nominations for “Best Competition Series,” “Best Reality Cast,” “Best Host” and “Best Fight,” and the UK series is also nominated for “Best International Reality Series.” Therefore, we believe the fabulous cast made up of Drag queens will be strutting center stage to accept their prize for “Best Reality Cast” come Monday 17.

MYSTERY GIRLS – “Bag Ladies” – It’s a race against time when a priceless bag goes missing on an all-new episode of “Mystery Girls,” airing on Wednesday, August 13th at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. (ABC FAMILY/Tony Rivetti) JENNIE GARTH, TORI SPELLING, RUPAUL

BEST COMPETITION SERIES

“Legendary,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” “The Challenge,” “The Circle

 “The Masked Singer”

Who We Think Will Win:  With RuPaul Drag Race sweeping several MTV Movie and TV Awards: Unscripted categories this year, we would like to see The Circle bring home the iconic honor. If the cast of The Circle scores the title of the “Best Competition series,” it won’t be a major surprise. The fan-favorite social media competition show is all about being strategic and gaining popularity within the circle of contestants. Each member of the circle is required to participate in group chats, have the opportunity to send direct messages, set a profile picture, and fill out a short bio describing who they are and why they want to win. Now, this is not a typical competition show – the contestants have the ability to enter as themselves or as a catfish. They are individually stuck in quarantine in an apartment, which makes the social media-inspired series engaging, relatable, and worthy of this prestigious award.

BEST LIFESTYLE SHOW

“Deliciousness,” “Fixer Upper: Welcome Home,” “Making The Cut,” “Nailed It!”

 “Queer Eye

Who We Think Will Win: The Fab Five from Queer Eye is expected to win “Best Lifestyle Show” at the 2021 MTV Movie And TV Awards: Unscripted special. Tan France, Antoni Porowksi, Jonathan Van Ness, Bobby Berk, and Karamo Brown are known for giving back to their communities and utilizing their expertise to help struggling individuals become their most fabulous selves. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the cast and crew of Queer Eye had to press pause on filming in Austin Texas. However, Bobby Berk recently took to social media to share that season six is FINALLY underway. So, while we gear up for the heartwarming season set to launch later this year, we can’t wait to watch the remarkable Fab Five leave with a trophy in hand.

BEST NEW UNSCRIPTED SERIES

“Bling Empire,” “Cardi Tries,” “Selena + Chef,” “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” “VH1 Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop Edition”

Who We Think Will Win:  It has been a difficult and trying year for all of us, but thankfully we had The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City to lift up our spirits. In 2020, Bravo launched and included the Salt Lake City franchise to their Housewife roster… and it certainly did not disappoint. The reality show gave the world a taste of normalcy, as the ladies of Salt Lake City opened up their homes, displayed what it was like to live the Utah high-life, and even shared some dirty little secrets. The unscripted drama in this specific franchise was off-the-charts juicy and doesn’t compare to any of the other titles listed in this category.

BEST TALK / TOPICAL SHOW

“A Little Late with Lilly Singh,” “Red Table Talk,” “The Breakfast Club,” “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah,” “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”

Who We Think Will Win:  The title holder for this category is not even up for discussion…the king of reality TV, Andy Cohen will walk away with this respected accolade.

BEST COMEDY / GAME SHOW

“Floor Is Lava,” “Impractical Jokers,” “Kids Say the Darndest Things,” “Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out,” “Ridiculousness.”

Who We Think Will Win:  Celeb Secrets has their money on Ridiculousness. We challenge you to watch and get through the MTV comedy clip show without laughing. The action-packed show is hosted by Rob Dyrdek, Sterling “Steelo” Brim, and Chanel West Coast. All three hosts and frequent celebrity guests come together to share their unfiltered reaction to viral internet videos. The weekly comedy show has been on the air since 2011 and has been gaining more traction/ popularity each year. If somehow Ridiculousness does not score the title, Impractical Jokers might have a chance to win.

BEST HOST

Nicole Byer – “Nailed It!,” Rob Dyrdek – “Ridiculousness,” RuPaul – “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” T.J. Lavin – “The Challenge,” Tiffany Haddish – “Kids Say the Darndest Things.”

Who We Think Will Win:  In this category, we are seeing A-list celebrities from diverse backgrounds go head to head for the grand title.  Now, Celeb Secrets is crossing our fingers for Tiffany Haddish, but we believe the fans have picked RuPaul from RuPaul’s Drag Race to win. RuPaul is an American drag queen and the face of the award-winning reality show. In fact, RuPaul is considered the most commercially successful drag queen in the United States – leaving him a shoo-in for this category.

BREAKTHROUGH SOCIAL STAR

Addison Rae, Bretman Rock, Charli D’Amelio, Jalaiah Harmon Rickey Thompson.

Who We Think Will Win: This category is a no-brainer… the award for “Breakthrough Social Star” will either go to Addison Rae or Charli D’Amelio. There is no way in telling who will be showing off this award on TikTok come Monday night (April 17.) However, they are both worthy of this title, as they have reached mega success on the social media platform in just a short amount of time.

BEST REAL-LIFE MYSTERY OR CRIME SERIES

“Catfish: The TV Show,” “Evil Lives Here,” “Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer,” “Tiger King: Murder Mayhem and Madness,” “Unsolved Mysteries.”

Who We Think Will Win: “Best Real-Life Mystery or Crime Series” will go to Tiger King – the Netflix true-crime documentary series, featuring Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin. The series became a pop-culture phenomenon worldwide and the go-to quarantine binge-worthy series during the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

BEST FIGHT

“Selling Sunset” – Chrishell Stause vs. Christine Quinn, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” – Jackie Goldschneider vs. Teresa Giudice, “Untucked: RuPaul’s Drag Race” – Kandy Muse vs. Tamisha Ima, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” – Kourtney Kardashian vs. Kim Kardashian West, “Legendary” – Law Roach vs. Guest Judge. Dominique Jackson

Who We Think Will Win: On the season 18 premiere of Keep Up With the Kardashians, the feud between the Kardashian sisters took a physical turn and it became the talk of the town. Kim and Khloé wanted Kourtney to get fired from the show, after Kourtney expressed her lack of interest. Their freshly manicured claws came out towards the end of the episode, which quickly became a meme on the internet. If the royal family of reality TV doesn’t win this category, Chrishell Stause and Christine Quinn might have a great chance!

BEST INTERNATIONAL REALITY SERIES

“Acapulco Shore, “Geordie Shore,” “Love Island,” “¡Nailed it! México,”

 “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.”

Who We Think Will Win:  We are predicting Love Island to win this category. The UK version of Love Island has been a popular television show on ITV and UK fans are currently gearing up for the new season that is set to drop on June 7. Between attention-grabbing feuds and swoonworthy  contestants, Love Island is destined to win this category.
