3 Movies That Are Being Delayed Due to the Delta Variant

Some of the most anticipated movies of the year are now officially being pulled from the box office.

A new form of the Coronavirus, aka the Delta variant, is creating a major rise in cases. According to the CDC, it’s not only a more contagious strand of the virus, but also affecting those who are already vaccinated. They’re even recommending those who haven’ been vaccinated already to do so while mandating masks in public indoor places.

With the new precautions in place, many avid moviegoers are now hesitant on hitting their favorite theaters to see some of the biggest flicks this year. Major film distributors aren’t even waiting for the new guidelines that the government plans to enforce, as they already pushed the release dates for some their biggest blockbusters back to 2022.

Aside from the three confirmed films that were put on pause below, other rumored movie titles that are expected to experience delays include Mission Impossible 7 (Paramount), Venom (Sony Pictures), No Time to Die (MGM), Dune (Warner Brothers) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (Marvel).
