4 Unique Celeb Shoe Collabs That You Need to Know About

Collaborations are no longer soulless brand hookups, but a marriage of equals, observes Vogue about fashion partnerships. Moving forward in 2022, we can expect to see more collaborative projects in the fashion industry as sharing ideas builds brand strength. For instance, some of the buzziest collabs from last year are the high-low ones — such as Supreme’s Tiffany & Co. line — connecting the high fashion world to the mass market.

Unexpected, cross-demographic pairings are a popular way to boost interest and sales among fans and fashion connoisseurs alike. This is probably why the footwear industry continues to work with celebrities these days, as the public certainly enjoys the results of their respective creative unions.

At Celeb Secrets, we are rounding up some of the most stylish and unique celebrity shoe collaborations to date! From Billie Eilish and her collab with Jordan Brand to Pharrell Williams and his line with Adidas, our list will give you some major shoe envy.

Billie Eilish x Jordan Brand

Singer-songwriter Billie Eilish is known for her cool, out-of-the-box streetwear fits, so it’s only natural that she produced an amazing sneaker drop. The Billie Eilish vegan sneaker project with the Jordan Brand is her first-ever footwear release, coming in two Air Jordan silhouettes with monochromatic, gender-neutral designs. The Jordan 1 Retro AJKO features a neon ghost volt green color, reminiscent of the artist’s iconic locks. On the other hand, the Jordan 15 Retro is a muted counterpart in beige that highlights the leather construction of the shoe. Eilish’s Blohsh logo sits on the tongue of the shoe, and her full name is printed on the insoles. Aside from being 100% vegan, the sneakers are also made with over 20% recycled material, owing to Eilish’s interest in ethical fashion.

Karol G x Crocs

Colombian singer Karol G is no stranger to working on stellar partnerships. Last year, she received nine nominations from the Latin American Music Awards, including “Collaboration of the Year” for “Tusa” with Nicki Minaj and “Caramelo” with Ozuna and Myke Towers. Now, the Karol G x Crocs collaboration marks the first US/Latin American artist to join forces with the clog brand in creating two innovative and iconic designs, as a tribute to self-love. Karol G’s take on the Classic Clog features a bold rose red color base, decorative barbed wire, heart-shaped Jibbitz, metal heart clips on the heel, and a safety pin charm. She also puts her spin on the Mega Crush Clog — which is an all-new silhouette with an enhanced rubber tread, updated detailing around the outsole, and a platform finish — using custom Karol G Jibbitz charms.

Pharrell Williams x Adidas

Pharrell Williams has been collaborating with Adidas for a long time. The rapper, singer, and producer created the Hu line using the NMD sneaker with the intention to “explore humanity and celebrate diversity around the world.” The initial colorways featured Scarlet, Black, Sharp Blue, Green, and Tangerine, which were inspired by Native Americans from North Dakota. Other iterations of the Hu NMD line featured designs inspired by Korea and India. This summer, Clear Aqua and Orange drops on the sleek NMD silhouette and its stretchy, breathable Primeknit textile. The top of the shoe will be embroidered with the word “ULUNTU” which means “community” in Xhosa (Bantu language and an official language of South Africa).

A$AP Rocky x Amina Muaddi

Rapper and style icon A$AP Rocky’s creative agency AWGE teamed up with shoe designer Amina Muaddi on A$AP Rocky’s first foray into women’s footwear. The one-of-a-kind line combines Muaddi’s trademark pyramid style heel with Rocky’s eye for bling. There are four designs for the AWGE x Amina Muaddi high-end heels, with different ways to wear them. The glittering gladiator heels that snake up the leg can be worn with a short skirt or a dress, while the pumps with AWGE’s signature butterfly motif can be dressed up or down for versatility, so these elegant shoes can easily be paired with jeans or a formal dress.
