The San Francisco 49ers are officially the 2022 NFC West Division Champions!

The NorCal team defeated the Seattle Seahawks 21-13 in the first game of week fifteen in the NFL on Thursday Night Football.

Christian McCaffrey, Brock Purdy, and George Kittle all had stellar performances in this one as the offensive trio combined to score San Francisco’s three touchdowns; McCaffrey ran for 108 yards on the ground along with a rushing touchdown while also catching six passes for 30 yards.

As for Purdy, the rookie finished his third NFL game going 17 for 26 with 217 yards and two touchdown passes to his tight end, George Kittle; to go along with the multi-touchdown performance, Kittle added two more catches for a total of 93 receiving yards.

On the defensive side for the 49ers, superstar pass rusher Nick Bosa led the way again with three quarterback hits and a sack, while veteran linebacker Samson Ebukam joined Bosa with a sack of his own as well as two quarterback hits.

Superstar linebacker Dre Greenlaw also had a great game as he punched the ball out of Seahawks running back Travis Homer’s hands which caused a fumble, along with adding eight tackles and two pass deflections in the win.

As for Seattle, aside from Homer’s fumble, the Seahawks offense was unable to get it going in the scoring department until late in the contest when Geno Smith threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Noah Fant with a little over three minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Something else to point out was San Francisco’s ability to shut down rookie sensation Kenneth Walker III, as he had just 47 yards on twelve carries and no touchdowns.

All in all, the 49ers picked up a massive win in this one as it led them to clinching their division and a spot in the playoffs, while the Seahawks better turn things around after suffering consecutive losses.
